NOW PRESENT AMONG US IN HIS DIVINE BODY OF UNIVERSAL PRESENCE

LAST RAMALINGA'S WORDS BEFORE HIS DEMATERIALIZATION

Slowly Ramalinga was preparing his disciples for his retirement into seclusion. According to a message registered by a disciple, evidently on the eve of closing the doors of his house, Ramalinga has informed them in this way:

"Till now I had been personally guiding you by words; but none of you has reached the conditions of Purity indicated by me. I had kept the doors opened, but none has come to receive from me. Now I close them. Nevertheless I will mould you (-by purification-) and if it is not possible (-because the disciple puts up resistence-) I will shape you in a ‘cooking pot’ (-that is, by giving pressure on disciple’s consciousness through the circumstances if it should be necessary). Now I am in this body. In the future I will enter into all the bodies. I will be universally present and wherever you go I will be there to mend or purify you, don't fear".

In a last spoken message on 1-30-1874, Ramalinga informed as follows:

"I kept the doors opened but none came to receive from me. I close the doors now. To receive the Divine Grace, worship the Divine with feelings of Compassion and remember He who is present in this Lamp of Light. After having passed an hour, I will not be visible to your eyes, but I will be universally present in this world and in all the other worlds. Then, when the God of Vast Grace-Light comes, I will come in this form of body and perform many miracles. I will govern with the sceptre of the Divine Grace and I will give the boon of Deathless Body to those who have the right inner knowledge, and condition of Purity to the others. If still being the door closed, government agents come and order to open it, God will prevent by His Grace".

These messages can be understood in two ways: superficially or in their deepest meaning.

Among those who understand in a superficial way, some believe that Ramalinga didn't dematerialize his body but simply became invisible to our eyes, and they hope that soon He will become visible again. They seem to think that Ramalinga is really present only in Vadalur or Mettukuppam. They maintain ever burning the external Jyothi (Lamp of Siddhi Valaga) and adore It day and night, waiting for the God's manifestation.

But in a deeper way, his words have a very different meaning:

• “I kept the doors opened... I close the doors now”. He was accessible to his disciples till the time when, on having verified that by means of the Word they had not understood the truel meaning of his Message, for their own good and that of all the other beings, Ramalinga made oblation of Himself to take a new Body not perceptible by senses. He did it to make fully accessible to everyone the Truth revealed by Him.

• “Now I am in this body. In the future I will enter into all the bodies... I will be universally present in this world and in all other worlds”. An invisible body doesn't enjoy the Divine Power of Universal Presence indicated by Ramalinga. On the other hand, make invisible the own body is within the reach of many yogis and affirm that it was what Ramalinga made is equivalent to say that He didn't go beyond the Yoga siddhis.

• “Nevertheless I will mould you... Wherever you go I will be there to mend or purify you, don't fear”. He didn't appoint successors, beyond that, in several occasions He affirmed that none of his direct disciples had got to understand the deep meaning of his Teachings; perhaps some of them has done it later, but it isn't possible to trust fully in the interpretation that his direct disciples (and those who have followed them) have done about his Message. According to his own words, He appointed himself as the unique one who would continue looking for the spiritual well of is disciples, through the internal Guide.

• “Remember the Divine who is present in this Lamp of Light”. It isn't possible that in this occasion Ramalinga gave to his disciples a Jyothi which was coming to have the same significance that the one he placed in Gnana Sabhai, since it had been closed by himself. Thinking about how benefit to all the beings, not only to those who could visit Siddhi Valaga, this another Lamp was lit by himself and it was accompaning him along the last stage of his life, when he achieved the Supreme Aim: the Golden Deathless Body, which is the full God's manifestation. Therefore, this Lamp is full impregnated with his Essence and is representative of himself, inexhaustible source of Light and Grace. Maintain the Lamp ever burning is to remember that He was totally fused with the Divinity and aspire to it may be possible for us too, by means of his Grace.

• “To receive the Divine Grace, worship the Divine with feelings of Compassion”. Ramalinga summarized in this phrase the basis of his Teachings: Constant thought on God and Compassion are the two pillars of the Path of absolute self-surrender opened by himself to all people.

• “When the God of Vast Grace-Light comes, I will come in this form of body and perform many miracles”. Having dematerialized his own Body to enter all the bodies, take other one again would suppose limiting the Immeasurable Power He enjoys now. Here Ramalinga is alluding to the Divinity will be manifested in others, who will realize in themselves the Golden Deathless Body. Through them He will perform great miracles.

• “I will govern with the sceptre of the Divine Grace and will give the boon of Deathless Body to those who have the right inner knowledge, and condition of Purity to the others”. All that is said by him in first person, proclaiming widely his Divinity. Thus He will direct bestow the Golden Deathless Body on those who are right prepared to realize It, and state of Purity on those who aren't.
