“The Boundless Benevolent Jothi has, by destroying all the curtains, shown its sovereignty in all places”. Ramalinga was retreated in silence for about 6 months at the end of 1870, in Siddhi Valaga at Mettukupan. Enjoying the fulness of Supreme Consciousness that has been settled in him, and the resulting transformation of nature and body, He composed (in April 1872) this rare piece of poetry called “Jothi Agaval”.
The poem describes every manifestation of the Supreme and Universal Divinity, the High Grace Light (Arut Perunjothi). Also is about the nature of the world of Truth Consciousness, origin and dwelling of the Supreme Light. It is mentioned the ascending scale of the existent worlds, being each one interlinked with the next higher one and contained in it. There are passages referring to the transformation of his body by the power of the Grace Light, his acquisiton of Perfect Powers to fulfill the Divine Will and his oneness with the Divine and Shakti. The poem concludes with a note about the universal mission of Ramalinga's life.
